I’ve only been once but 

The venue (The Loft) is nice and I like the area

Poughkeepsie kids are really nice even when they dance on you and punch you in the face

And depending on the show, there might be a few other kids from the five boroughs and Long Island so it really does feel like home

What’s sad is that once certain people start to dislike a band, almost everyone else will follow them and have the same opinion simply because that’s how everyone else feels. And kids who do enjoy that music feel guilty for liking it. 

Think for yourself, like whatever bands you want, no matter how “embarrassing” or “bad” the majority of these kids may think they are.
